Accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who died during attack’s aftermath, was officially named as a participant in the 2011 Waltham triple homicide by a man who was shot to death while being questioned by authorities.

The Boston Globe reports thatIbragim Todashev told investigators that Tamerlan participated in the gruesome murder, where three men were found in an apartment with their necks slit and their bodies reportedly covered with marijuana.

Todashev was killed by authorities in May after he allegedly got violent while being questioned in Florida.

A filing made on Monday is an attempt by prosecutors to block Dzhokhar Tsarnaev from getting certain information from authorities.

‘‘The government has already disclosed to Tsarnaev that, according to Todashev, Tamerlan Tsarnaev participated in the Waltham triple homicide,’’ prosecutors wrote.
