In anticipation of potential issues during Wednesday night’s Avicii concert, officials at the TD Garden took precautions including restricting alcohol sales and providing cooling stations, the arena said.

Multiple people were transported to local hospitals and scores more were treated at the TD Garden during the Swedish DJ’s concert. Emergency officials declared a mass casualty incident to alert local hospitals of a number of incoming patients that needed medical attention.

On Thursday, the TD Garden released a statement that outlined the arena’s plan, including providing two cooling off stations, restricting alcohol sales and providing additional security. The statement also said the building maintained normal temperature.

“We take this incident very seriously and our thoughts are with the affected guests and their families,” the statement said.”We continued our proactive policy to identify impaired guests, bring them to first aid for medical evaluation and transport when necessary. By following our policy, half of the affected guests were identified prior to entering the arena and were immediately treated.”
