The Danvers High School teen accused of raping and killing his 24-year-old math teacher will be in court Thursday to answer to an additional rape charge in the case.
Philip Chism, 15, has pleaded not guilty during his previous arraignments on rape, murder and other charges. Authorities said he killed 24-year-old Colleen Ritzer of Andover, his math teacher, in October.
Chism was 14 when the alleged attack took place. Last week, Essex County prosecutors recalled the grand jury, which returned a youthful offender indictment charging Chism with aggravated rape after authorities presented additional evidence.
A grand jury indicted Chism on the initial charges in November and he pleaded not guilty during his arraignment last month.
