Police have arrested a teenager in connection with the shooting that wounded a 9-year-old girl who was playing outside her home in the Bronx on Friday night.
Billie James, 17, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
Meanwhile, the young victim was released from the hospital Sunday, the New York Post reported.

A 9-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet in the Bronx on Friday night, police reported.
About 9:20 p.m., a suspect on a bicycle fired several shots, cops said. Police said the girl was outside her house playing when she was shot in the torso.
The victim was taken to the North Central Bronx Hospital and then transported to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
The NYPD is asking that anyone with information regarding this shooting call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential.
A $2,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for any information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible for this shooting. An additional $10,000 is being offered by the NYPD, and another $10,000 by the mayor's office, for information leading to the shooter's arrest and conviction.
