Police are investigating a shooting Saturday morning in Frankford that left a 17-year-old in critical condition.
Investigators said the victim was shortly before 4 a.m. talking with a friend at Foulkrod and Salem streets when two unknown men ran toward them and opened fire.
The victim and his friend, along with a group of people who were also hanging out at the location, ran west on the 1600 block of Foulkrod Street toward the 4700 block of Frankford Avenue, according to authorities.

As the group fled, the 17-year-old was shot once in the upper right back and chest area.
Police said he collapsed to the ground at the intersection of Foulkrod and Salem streets.
The victim was taken by private vehicle to Aria Health Frankford, then transferred to Temple University Hospital.
There, he was listed in very critical condition as he underwent surgery for his wounds, according to investigators.
There is not yet word on a motive for the crime, and no arrests have yet been made.
