A teenager was scalped and killed by the remote-control model helicopter he was operating near a Brooklyn park Thursday afternoon.

Roman Pirozek, 19, was hit in the head with the helicopter around 3:30 p.m. at Shore Parkway and Bay 44 Street near Calver Vaux Park in the Gravesend neighborhood of southern Brooklyn, a police source said. He was declared dead at the scene.

The teen, a resident of Queens, had lost control of the helicopter when it sliced the top of his head, the source said.

There were at least three people in the vicinity of the accident, which occurred in an area known for flying model helicopters.
