Three people were injured, one critically, in a hail of bullets inside a Chinese restaurant in North Philadelphia early Tuesday.

The shooting, captured on surveillance video, occurred during a robbery attempt about 12:40 a.m. inside No. 1 Kitchen at Fifth and Cumberland streets, police said.

Three men entered the restaurant armed with at least two handguns and opened fire on three men ordering food.

One of the victims is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, according to police, after he was shot five times. His injuries are to his chest, chin, lip, lower back and buttocks, police said.

The other two shooting victims are in stable condition. One sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and arm, the other to his hand, according to police.

The victim with the gunshot wound to his hand reported that his cell phone and $20 were taken in the robbery.

It appears the victims and suspects know each other, police said.

The suspects fled in an older model white Pontiac Grand Am.

Police described the suspects as thin, black males, 20 to 25 years old. They were wearing dark-colored hoodies.
