A one-year-old boy fell from his sixth-story Brooklyn apartment on late Wednesday morning, police said.

Three months shy of his second birthday, the boy somehow made it to an apartment window at around 11:30 a.m. while his family was in the Crown Heights home with him. He landed on a third-floor balcony.

Police identified the baby boy as Theodore Nemon and said both emergency workers and local Hatzolah responders arrived at 580 Crown St., a seven-story building with nearly 100 units.

Authorities said the boy was unconscious and in critical condition after the deadly tumble and was promptly rushed to Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

NYPD said it considers the investigation surrounding the boy's death as ongoing.
