Boston Police are investigating the death of a 14-month-old child who was found dead around 4 p.m. inside a van outside of 18 Floyd Str. in Dorchester today.
According to police, how the child died is unknown at this time and its gender was not immediately available.
Police said the child was left unattended in the maroon van, which had a “School Bus” sign on top of its roof and school bus plates.
Gloria Family Day Care is a private day care company that operates at the address where the van was parked.
Neighbors said a group of day care workers were being interviewed by police and could be seen crying and hugging each other.
