Trial is scheduled to continue on Wednesday for Kareem Alleyne, 36, charged with homicide by vehicle for running over off-duty police officer Marc Brady as Brady biked in Germantown.

Brady was biking towards the home of his ex-girlfriend, which her then-boyfriend Alleyne was just leaving, when Alleyne hit Brady around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012 near Meehan and Musgrave streets.

Officer Kevin Ghee testified Tuesday that while being transported to the Homicide Unit, Alleyne repeatedly said, "The victim was always around with that girl and he was sick of it," in Ghee's words.

Ghee also previously responded to an October 2011 call of "person with a gun" at Alleyne's home and found Brady, who Ghee said was unarmed, outside.

Brady's ex-girlfriend was in the house and filed a domestic violence report against Brady for pounding on the door of the house that night. Brady was reportedly on administrative duty and under investigation by Internal Affairs for that incident at the time of his death.

Trial will continue today.
