Two people arrested at the Boston Calling music festival Sunday evening faced a judge Monday for allegedly punching a cop and refusing to leave the City Hall Plaza venue.
Two people arrested at the Boston Calling music festival Saturday evening were due in court Monday; one for allegedly punching a Boston Police officer and the other for allegedly refusing to leave the City Hall Plaza venue.
Breanna Powers, 23, of East Boston is accused of clocking a cop who was trying to move the concert crowd away from the stairs at City Hall. Kraig Spencer, 21, of Whitingsville, allegedly refused to leave the plaza as it was being evacuated due to an advancing storm.
The pair was due at Boston Municipal Court today. It was unclear whether the two were acquainted before their arrests.
At last year’s Boston Calling festival nearly two dozen people were cuffed for drug crimes and one person was treated for symptoms related to taking the drug “molly.”
