Two more bikers were arrested and charged this weekend in connection with last week's motorcycle gang assault on the West Side Highway.

Robert Sims, 35, and Reginald Chance, 37, were arrested for gang assault, among other charges, for their roles in the revenge beating on an SUV driver who struck several bikers while escaping an attack on his car.

Police said Chance and another suspect, Allen Edwards, 42, approached Alexian Lien's SUV after he ran over Edwin "Jay" Mieses, a biker still the hospital who is now represented by celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred.

Chance smashed the SUV driver's window while Lien's wife and 2-year-old daughter were inside, police said. Lien was then pulled out of the car and beaten by five or six bikers, authorities said.

Sims stomped on Lien's head while wearing a motorcycle helmet with the number 78, according to court papers.

Charges against Edwards were dropped Wednesday. Sims was arraigned Saturday; Chance is expected to be arraigned Sunday.

Another biker, Christopher Cruz, 28, was arraigned Friday for allegedly prompting the attack.

Prosecutors said Cruz admitted to being the biker seen on a video veering in front of Lien's SUV, appearing to slow down intentionally and causing Lein to hit the bike.

After being taunted, Lien sped forward and ran over Mieses after the 32-year-old biker pulled over in an attempt to defuse the situation, according to his lawyer.

Lien's wife said in a statement that she and her husband feared for their lives and their young daughter.
