Two people were killed in police-involved shootings in Philadelphia on Wednesday night.
The fatal shootings occurred in Germantown and West Philadelphia, 6ABC Action News reports.

Police shot and killed a man on the 5600 block of Wyalusing Avenue about 6:30 after responding to a report of two men armed with handguns at Wyalusing and Frazier Street. Police were chasing the two men when one of them was struck by a car. As police moved in on the man, he reportedly pointed a gun at them, prompting the officers to shoot the man, according to the Action News report.
The man was later pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
About two-and-a-half to three hours later, police shot and killed a man in Germantown. An officer fired his gun at a man who reportedly pointed a gun toward officers who had responded to a report of an armed man at Devon Street and East Locust Avenue, Actions News reports.
That man died at the scene.
