Authorities are investigating the stabbing deaths of two men found in a South Philadelphia home.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Dickinson Street around 9:50 a.m. for a reported gas odor. Officers found two men with their throats slashed. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene. Their names have not been released pending notification of kin.

Authorities also found two dogs stabbed to death inside the home. Homicide investigators said the gas was on in the apartment, indicating the killer or killers may have been trying to start a fire. A neighbor called police after smelling the gas.

No arrests have been made.
