Two more dolphins were found dead along New Jersey beaches, raising the total to 68, reports say.

The dolphins were found washed up Saturday in Sea Grit and Brigantine, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Two-hundred and thirty dolphins have been reported dead in New Jersey and as far south as Virginia, which national organizations have deemed unusual due to the high mortality rate, the newspaper reported.

Marine biologists have linked the deaths to a viral pneumonia, but an exact cause has not been determined.
