Two separate reports of fake cops in Northeast Phila.

One man was arrested outside a 7-11 on Frankford Avenue, while two men are being sought in a second incident.

Police are investigating two separate reports of men posing as police officers Wednesday in Northeast Philadelphia.

The first incident occurred around 10 p.m. at Hartel and Walker streets in the Holmesburg section. Police said two men driving in a dark-colored sedan pulled over three men and flashed what looked like a badge, according to 6ABC. The suspects then abducted the men, but all three victims were able to escape.

Police said the suspects were wearing jackets bearing badges or necklaces with official-looking badges as charms.

The second incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on the 9000 block of Frankford Avenue outside a 7-11 convenience store. Police said two officers spotted an unmarked vehicle with lights on the dash that had pulled over a male motorist. The officers went to investigate and discovered a man posing as an officer and took him into custody. He is expected to be charged with impersonating an officer.

Police are not sure whether the two incidents are connected.
