Two teens face charges in Wilmington park rapes

The teens knew their victims and specifically targeted them for that reason, according to police.

Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the rapes of two women in a Wilmington, Del., park in August.

The teens, ages 14 and 15 and both of Wilmington, were arrested last Thursday, NBC10 reports.

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with robbery and conspiracy and the 14-year-old boy with conspiracy. Sexual assault charges are pending against both teens.

The victims, ages 24 and 32, were attacked and raped inKosciuszko Park about 7 p.m. on Aug. 29. A group of 10 to 12 boys approached the victims, then watched as the 14-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy assaulted, robbed and raped them.

Police told NBC10 the teens knew their victims and specifically targeted them for that reason.
