Two women were injured at the TD Garden on Thursday evening when a metal pole that holds up netting fell on them.
The women, who were attending Thursday night's Bruins-Capitals game, were sitting in the stands about 15 minutes after the game had ended whena pole that supports the protective netting behind the goal came toppling down on them, according to WCVB. The netting is meant to protect the crowd from flying pucks.
People in the crowd heard a loud boom, followed by cries for help from bystanders who saw the women with visible injuries, FOX Sports reported.
The women were taken to Mass General Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.
Right now there is no determined cause as to why the netting fell down.
