A Norwood man who authorities dubbed the “U-30 Bandit” pleaded guilty yesterday to eight counts of armed bank robbery.
Dimitri Long, 34, robbed various banks during the spring and summer of 2009, including ones in Needham, Wellesley, Newton and Dedham.
Long would enter the banks waving a gun and talking to someone on what appeared to be a radio. In some robberies he brought a hoax device that initially appeared to be a bomb.
