Transit Police on Sunday arrested a Boston man who allegedly failed to register as a sex offender.

Robert Veres, 49, was drinking alcohol and behaving aggressively about 10 a.m. at the South Station Commuter Rail lobby, according to Transit Police.

Officers approached Veres and subsequently discovered there was a warrant for his arrest, issued by the Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for failure to register as a level-2 sex offender.


Veres was arrested and taken to Transit Police headquarters for booking.
