Authorities are investigating after the body of missing 24-year-old Boston University graduate Eric Munsell was pulled from Long Wharf Wednesday, according to Boston Police.
A tech rescue response team was sent to the area at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a person in the water. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, though the cause of death is not yet known.
Police on Thursday identified the man as Munsell, a North End resident who was last seen at 11:30 p.m. on February 8 at Market on Broad Street, where he was celebrating his birthday.
On March 1, family members held a candlelight vigil at Long Wharf. People expressed condolences Thursday on a public Facebook page created to raise awareness about Munsell's disappearance.
A phone call to his family was not returned as of deadline Thursday.
