The man who died on SEPTA train tracks Monday has been identified as a 20-year-old high school student.

The man who died on SEPTA train tracks Monday has been identified as a 20-year-old high school student.

The victim was Andre Washington, 20, a student at Abington High School, CBS reported.

Authorities reportedly believe that Washington was walking and texting on the tracks around 5 p.m. Monday near the Noble station in Abington when the accident occurred.

The train's engineer told authorities that when he saw a person on the tracks, he blew his horn repeatedly and hit the brakes, but that the man did not react or turn before being struck by the train.
