Reports are saying that the 14-year-old boy who went missing after he and friends went swimming in the ocean off a Ninth Street jetty in Ocean City on Sunday night has been identified as Philadelphia teenager Corinthian Hammond.
ABC6 reports the boy is from Hunting Park.
Officials suspended their search late Monday afternoon after nearly a full day of searching by air and by sea. Hammond and his friends were pulled in by a current around 7 p.m. Sunday night. All were able to get out of the water — or were rescued — but Hammond remains missing.
Lifeguards were off duty at the time. Reports say that the Ocean City Fire Department and Beach Control are continuing the search.
