UPDATE: The Waltham News Tribuneis reporting that the Waltham School Department confirms the shooting victim was a high school student. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Earlier: A homicide in a Waltham apartment complex Thursday night is under investigation by police.
The incident took place about 10:30 p.m. at Gardencrest Apartments, located on Middlesex Circle nearby the Bentley University campus.
WBZ reports the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was fatally shot while in the parking lot of the complex. Several police vehicles gathered at the scene around building 35 throughout the night.
The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is now handling the situation.
