Valley Forge Resort Casino approved for 50 table games

The resort casino will feature poker, blackjack and roulette tables when it opens this spring.

The Valley Forge Resort Casino received approval for 50 table games from the state Gaming Control Board.

The $132 million facility is scheduled to open this spring. The board previously approved the casino for up to 600 slots, but held a hearing last month in King on Prussia on the resort's request for tables.

As a Category 3 facility, Valley Forge can have up to 50 table games. The developer must pay a $7.5 million fee for the operation of tables, which will include:

* 23 Blackjack tables

* 4 Craps tables

* 4 Three-Card Poker tables

* 4 Roulette tables

* 4 Mini-Baccarat tables

* 3 Midi-Baccarat tables

* 2 Ultimate Texas Hold’em tables

* 2 Pai Gow tables

* 2 Pai Gow Poker tables, and

* 2 Let It Ride tables

The casino is expected to provide 650 jobs. It will join Parx as the second gaming facility in Montgomery County and fourth in the five-county Greater Philadelphia region.
