Good Samaritans notified a train operator and helped pull a drunk man to safety at Haymarket Station today after he stumbled and fell under a trolley, according to a MBTA spokesman.
Surveilance video shows the unidentified man exiting a Green Line trolley before losing his balance and slipping into the space between the platform and the car.
“Preventing a tragedy, customers on the platform alerted the trolley operator of the situation before the train started to move,” said MBTA spokesman Joe Pasaturo. “The MBTA would like to express its gratitude to the customers who ‘Saw Something, and Said Something’ before it was too late.”
The man was not injured.
