Dueling videos surfaced today as the state’s major political parties attacked each other over allegations that party employees were roughed up while filming the other’s public events.
Trackers, as they are called, are commonly seen at public events and record an opposing party’s candidate in hopes of catching them make a mistake or commit a gaffe.
The first video to surface showed a driver for Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren apparently shoving a camera away from a man who was recording her during an event on Martha’s Vineyard Sunday.
“A campaign aide for Elizabeth Warren physically assaulted and threatened an employee of the Massachusetts Republican Party,” Nate Little, executive director of the Massachusetts Republican Party said in a statement. “In addition to knocking the camera from the employee’s hand, the individual also threw a punch. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and has no place in our public discourse.”

Later today, the state’s Democratic party released its own video, which it said showed “Scott Brown supporters attacked and physically removed” a Massachusetts Democratic Party employee.
The video, which can be seen below, shows a tracker being removed from an event in Revere in March, according to the Democrats.
The state’s Democratic party said in a statement that the man in the first video is a cab driver and not a member of Warren’s campaign, according to the Globe.
