Police are searching for a man they say tried to rape a 39-year-old woman in the Tribeca section of Manhattan last Friday.
The suspect followed the victim into her apartment building about 9:15 p.m., pushed her to the ground and tried to rape her, police said. An unknown male interrupted the attack and scared the suspect away.
Police released surveillance video of the suspect, who is seen wearing a dark suit, white shirt and black dress shoes. He is described as being in his late 40s to early 50s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and weighing 170-200 lbs.

The victim in the attack was treated and released for minor injuries.
