Police are looking for a man who they say dropped through the roof an East Germantown dollar store and took cigarettes and cash three times in a little over a week.
The man burglarized into the Giant Dollar Store at 35 E. Chelten Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. on Dec. 7, around 7 p.m. on Dec. 11 and at 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 15, according to investigators. Police said he took cartons and loose packs of cigarettes, as well as an undetermined amount of money.

The man can be seen in surveillance footage of the most recent crime dropping through the ceiling and into a store aisle using rope or string, then climbing down a shelf. He rifles through cash register drawers and places stacks of money into a blue bag.
The man then climbs back onto the top of the shelves and apparently exits through the roof in the same place.
The suspect is described as a five-foot-three to five-foot-seven black male in his late 20s to mid-30s with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a dark knit hat, a red hoodie with black sleeves that says "Nike" on its chest and black and white sneakers.
