VIDEO: Northeastern students speak out against proposed MBTA cuts

Both proposals presented by the MBTA to raise fares and cut service include the option of eliminating the Green Line’s E train on the weekends, a train that runs along Huntington Avenue and acts as a lifeline for students at Northeastern University and Fenway residents.

Members of “Students Against T Cuts,” a self-proclaimed coalition of students actively working to maintain and promote the MBTA's services and battle proposed cuts, hit Northeastern’s campus recently to interview students and ask them how the elimination of the E line would impact their lives.

The result: An almost three-minute montage of reasons why the line should be saved.

Members of Students Against T Cuts said getting rid of the E Line would also affect a number of educational, cultural, and medical organizations.
