Cops are looking for a would-be rapist after a Brooklyn woman fought the attacker off on Saturday.
Police said that a 30-year-old woman was walking to her Crown Heights home early Saturday morning.
Surveillance video shows her pass through the building's front door with an unknown man right behind her. He proceeded to follow the woman up the stairs, close behind her.
The unidentified woman made it to the third floor stairwell of her apartment building at around 1 a.m. Thats when authorities said the suspect tried to talk with the woman. The woman declined, and the situation turned violent.
The suspect pushed the woman to the stairwell wall before he force himself over her body and tried to sexually assault her. However, the woman fended off her assailant, resisting enough to force him to run from the scene in an unknown direction.
Investigators said the suspect is described as a black male in his 20s. At approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall and 130 pounds, he was last seen clean shaven with close-cut hair wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
