Boston Police today released surveillance video of the man they believe sexually assaulted a woman in the North End last weekend.

The man is seen walking in the area of Hanover and Prince streets about 2:20 a.m. as he is fleeing the incident.

“Detectives ask community members to note the suspect’s running stride and apparent athletic build,” police said.

Police said the video also captures two potential witnesses – a woman and man. Police are appealing to the community for information on the suspect and the witnesses.

The man approached woman outside her building near Fleet Street and Garden Court just after 2 a.m. Saturday and engaged her in conversation.

When the woman went to go inside, the man tried to get in. The woman refused and the man groped her and fled.

The incident is the latest attack on a woman in the North End. Similar attacks have occurred over recent years.
