VIDEO: Police seach for suspect in Beacon Hill sexual assault

Boston Police are hoping a surveillance video will lead to information about a sexual assault on Beacon Hill.

The footage shows a man wanted for questioning in an assault that took place last Thursday afternoon on Anderson Street.

The victim told officers that around 2:15 p.m., a man approached her from behind, groped her, then ran when she yelled for help.

The incident was one of three alleged assaults on Beacon Hill in recent days, according to the BPD.

The other two crimes were reported Friday night on Phillips and Garden streets. All three victims gave a similar description of their attacker.

In the video, a man can be seen walking by the camera, and then running in the opposite direction a few minutes later.

The suspect is described as a white male, early 20s, about 5-foot-8 in height, thin build, about 150 pounds, fair skin, dark hair and dark eyes, according to the BPD blog. At the time of the alleged assault, the man had on a black or gray flat-brimmed cap, black shirt and thought to be wearing long shorts and sneakers.

Police asked anyone with information about the crimes or the man in the video to contact them through the Crime Stoppers tipline at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word TIP to CRIME (27463). All tips were to remain confidential.
