VIDEO: Police seek brick-throwing Rittenhouse burglary suspect

The suspect used a brick to break into Omega Pizza on Dec. 7 and Honey's Sit n' Eat on Dec. 9.

Philadelphia police are seeking the public's help identifying a man they say is responsible for at least two burglaries in the city's Rittenhouse section between Dec. 7 and Dec. 9.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing all black clothing in the burglaries.

The suspect broke into Omega Pizza, located 2145 South St., about 3 a.m. on Dec. 7 by breaking a window with a brick. He stole $20 in coins from a cash register before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, according to police.

The second burglary occurred at Honey's Sit 'n Eat at 2101 South St. about 3 a.m. on Dec. 9. The suspect once again used a brick to break a window to enter the business. He fled without any money after searching an empty cash register, police said.
