Police released surveillance video on Wednesday in hopes of tracking down a man who threw a Molotov cocktail inside a Brooklyn corner store.
Authorities said that the suspect, described as a Hispanic male between 30 and 40 years of age, first walked into the 24-hour mini mart on the corner of 39th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway in Borough Park at around 1 a.m.
Dressed in a dark, zippered hoodie and sunglasses, the suspect walked stepped out of the store after getting into an argument with the clerk, police said.
The time-stamped video shows the man leaving at around 2:21 a.m. making hand gestures towards the storefront.
A little more than 30 minutes later, the suspect can be seen a few feet from the front door, hoodie up and glasses on. Lighting a bottle in his right hand, the man throws the bottle through the entrance before falling back to the ground and running away on foot.
The clerk, a 34-year-old male, suffered minor injuries from the blaze, his hair and jacket catching fire.
Police said the victim declined any further medical attention.
