The MBTA released surveillance video Thursday showing a raccoon making several unsuccessful attempts to run down an upwardly moving escalator at Downtown Crossing.
The video, which was taken on Jan. 20, shows a startled T worker quickly turn around when he spots the critter.
According to MBTA Spokesman Joe Pesaturo, the raccoon was later named "Rocky Raccoon."
An animal control officer removed the animal from the station.
