[VIDEO] Woman rescued from T pit at Kendall Station

A group of bystanders rescued a woman after she fell onto the train tracks at Kendall Square in Cambridge Sunday night, according to MBTA Transit Police.

Around 6:52 p.m., Tamara Woodard, 54, of Minnesota, was walking backwards on the inbound platform talking with her husband David Wayne and a few friends when she fell into the pit.

Wayne reportedly jumped into the pit to help get her out. That’s when a group of passengers helped lift her onto the platform.

According to transit police, Woodard hurt her neck, hips and felt dizzy after the incident, and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for evaluation.
