VIDEO: Would-be burglars caused $27k worth of damage at Bicycle Therapy Bike Shop

Police said that two men who attempted to break into a bike shop in Southwest Center City didn’t make it inside, but managed to cause $27,000 worth of damage anyway.

The incident happened at the Bicycle Therapy Bike Shop, 2211 South Street, on July 27. Police said two unknown men wearing hoodies approached the store around 3:15 a.m. One of them allegedly used a window punch tool to shatter every pane of glass on the storefront.

Though the attempted thieves never did make it inside, the shattered windows amounted to $27,000 in damage, according to investigators.

One of the men is described as a six-foot, thin black man wearing a black jacket with a hood, a light-colored baseball cap, dark pants and white sneakers with black soles. The second man is a black male wearing a navy blue North Face jacket with a logo on the rear shoulder and dark blue jeans with rips on the front right and rear pockets.
