Volunteer firefighter, two teens arrested for Bucks County arson

A volunteer firefighter and two 19-year-old men were charged with arson on Tuesday for setting fire to a historic Bucks County mansion, police said.

 

A volunteer firefighter and two 19-year-old men were charged with arson Tuesday for allegedly setting fire to a historic Bucks County mansion, police said.

 

Nicholas Ricciardi, 21, a volunteer Bristol Township firefighter; Dennis Rose III and Michael Kurfuss deliberately set fire to Croydon Mansion, a 237-year-old historic site, in Bensalem Township on Feb. 22 with the intent to destroy it, according to a news release.

 

Bristol Township Police identified the three as members of a group dubbed the Black Flag Family gang. The trio has been in custody since the end of February after being arrested for an alleged armed robbery in Bristol Township.

 

Bail was set individually at 10 percent of $200,000, according to the news release.
