Yes, there is a chance — albeit small — that we could see snowflakes tomorrow night.
Either way, nearly freezing temperatures will be hitting the Philadelphia area on Tuesday as Mother Nature brings back winter weather after a long weekend of sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s.
A cold front will hit us Tuesday night after a day of precipitation that could turn into snow in the evening.
"But we're not expecting accumulation," said Kristin Kline, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.
During the day, there is a 100 percent chance of showers, possibly thunderstorms, Kline said. She added that certain parts of the Philadelphia area will get hit especially hard. "You'll want to slow it down and plan for that."
The high tomorrow will be 65 with a low of 32 at night. "Really, once that front comes through tomorrow evening, there will be a sharp temperature drop."
