Wedding crasher takes couple’s limo

To the Braintree couple married in Dorchester Saturday, may you find love, happiness and the guy who stole your limousine.

To the Braintree couple married in Dorchester Saturday, may you find love, happiness and the guy who stole your limousine.

As Nikhil Pereira and Jillian Sherlock prepared to be married inside the Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church on Columbia Road, their bridesmaids were running for their lives.

A man carjacked the limo parked near the church about 1:45 p.m. Saturday, fought with the driver and then ordered the six women in the back to get out.

The man, who was trying to flee after committing a breaking and entering nearby, ditched the limo in South Boston, but not before he struck a postal truck.

Police said yesterday they were still searching for the limo-jacker, described as a white man, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall and about 180 pounds.
