Though this video (posted by @jimmacmillan amid ongoing intramedia debate on Twitter) seems to indicate something untoward happened on the Parkway during the fireworks last night, a police spokeswoman said at 2:45 p.m. that she’s seen no reports of Parkway violence (or threats thereof). This follows an on-duty officer working last night who reported, “Nothing confirmed at all for gunshots on Parkway,” more than 12 hours earlier.
There was, however, a stabbing incident near LOVE Park.
They’re still awaiting overall arrest stats.
