West Oak Lane man, 98, with dementia is missing

A 98-year-old West Oak Lane man who suffers from dementia has been reported missing after he didn't return from an errand run, police said.

 

Frank Winfrey, of the 7100 block of North 19th Street, left his home about 2:30 p.m. yesterday and did not return.

 

Winfrey, who was driving a burgundy 1995 Chevy Tahoe, suffers from the debilitating disease which affects memory, thinking, language and judgement. He stands about 6 foot 1 inch tall, and weighs about 200 pounds with a medium build. He has brown eyes, a medium complexion and short gray hair, police said.

 

He was last seen wearing a tan corduroy jacket, blue pants, brown shoes and a tan cap, police said.
