A Weymouth school cafeteria worker is expected to appear in court Thursday morning to answer to charges of statutory rape.
Janelle Foley, 36, was arrested Wednesday night, hours after she was placed on administrative leave from her job at Chapman Middle School, according to the Patriot Ledger.
School officials notified parents on Wednesday that a school employee had been place on leave for an incident that did not take place on school grounds.
School officials and police would not comment further on the case and would not say if it involved a student from the school.
