William Krott, III, 30, was arrested yesterday and will be arrigned today on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography, according to the Suffolk district attorney's office.
The investigation started late last year when a person in an Internet chat session shared an image of child pornography. The center sent the tip to the Suffolk district attorney's office.
Authorities said they obtained a subpoena to obtain the user's IP computer address, which led them to Krott's home.
"On Krott's personal computer, they recoverd multiple images of children in sexualized contexts," the Suffolk district attorney's office said in a statement.
