A 21-year-old Brooklyn woman died on Sunday after her motorcycle skidded and she was thrown from the bike, police said.
Jasmine Calix was traveling eastbound on Belt Parkway at Knapp Street about 8:40 p.m. when her 2004 Yamaha motorcycle skidded, fell to its side and caused her to be thrown from the bike, police said.
Calix, who suffered extreme head trauma, was pronounced dead on arrival at Coney Island Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
