Woman attempts suicide on SEPTA tracks

A 42-year-old woman is in critical condition after she jumped onto SEPTA's Regional Rail tracks at Market East Station early yesterday morning.

A 42-year-old woman is in critical condition after she jumped onto SEPTA's Regional Rail tracks at Market East Station early yesterday morning in an attempted suicide, police said.

 

The woman sustained head and leg injuries after she jumped onto the tracks around Midnight on the northbound side of the platform in front of a Paoli/Thorndale Line train, police said.

 

She remains in critical condition at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
