Woman charged for bus beating

A woman was charged with assault after allegedly spitting on an MBTA bus driver and hitting the driver with a pipe on Sunday.

Police said Natacha Andre, 36, boarded the Route 31 bus in Mattapan without paying and began disrobing. When the driver told her to stop, Andre spat at her, got off the bus and started bashing it with a metal pipe. She also hit the driver’s arm.
