A Media resident is accused of firing a gun at her former companion's car during a children-custody exchange in Middletown Monday night.
An 11-year-old boy was seated in the car's front, passenger seat when the 41-year-old woman allegedly fired a gun into its windshield in the direction of her former companion, a 49-year-old Wynnewood woman, NBC10 reports.
The women's 9-year-old daughter was standing just outside the car during the gunfire, which happened just before 7 p.m.
The 41-year-old Media woman, who was not immediately identified by Middletown police, is charged with attempted homicide, according to the report.
The victim was able to drive herself to a nearby hospital, where she was treated.
