Woman’s body found floating in East River in the Bronx

The NYPD found a dead woman floating in the East River near the Bronx on Tuesday.

A woman’s body was found Tuesday morning floating in the East River near Clason Point in the Bronx.

The NYPD responded to the scene shortly after 9 a.m., and found the woman with trauma to the face and fully clothed.

The woman, whose identity is not being released until her family is notified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The NYPD and medical examiner will continue to investigate, police said.
